(2025) Exciting News: Paper Accepted!
I'm thrilled to share that our review paper, "Global advances in managed aquifer recharge: a systematic synthesis", has been accepted for publication in Environmental Reviews. This work, led by Berhanu G. Sinshaw and co-authored by Prof. Helen E. Dahlke, Prof. Joshua H. Viers, and Prof. Safeeq Khan, offers a comprehensive global synthesis of managed aquifer recharge (MAR) strategies spanning the last four decades. The paper highlights key innovations, challenges, and opportunities in advancing groundwater sustainability in the face of warming and water security concerns.
Accepted for AGU 2025 Poster Presentation
I'm pleased to announce that the research paper titled "Estimating Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity from Environmental Covariates: A Machine Learning Approach", authored by Sinshaw, B., Nandi, S., Ghezzehei, T., Viers, J., and Khan, M., has been officially accepted for poster presentation at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting 2025.This study applies machine learning techniques to estimate saturated hydraulic conductivity using a diverse set of environmental covariates, representing a promising advancement in hydrologic modeling and soil science.
